What you can put on the switch
- An icon: more than 1,000 icons in categories such as vehicles, marine, military, seasonal, emoji and general symbols, automatically sized and centered on the face.
- Or your own text: up to 16 characters, shown live as you type. It wraps to two centered lines of up to 8 characters each, and you can choose from a selection of bold fonts.
- Text or an icon, not both: a face this small reads best with one clean graphic, so this switch takes either one.
- White engraved design: the icon or text has a white appearance on the matte black face. The LED color is a separate choice: Amber, Blue or White when illuminated.
Size and position are set automatically, so every switch comes out centered and easy to read once it is etched. Because each switch is made to order from your design, please check your text spelling and your icon choice before adding it to the cart.
Matching your other CH4X4 switches: select Myriad Pro Semibold, the standard font used by default on our switches. Other available fonts let you give this custom switch a different look.
Custom laser-etched graphics
Your icon or text is precision laser etched directly into the switch face using professional laser engraving equipment. It is not a sticker, decal or surface-applied print. Laser etching gives a crisp, professional result and lets the switch illumination shine through the engraved graphic for excellent nighttime visibility.
Choose ON/OFF or Momentary operation
- ON/OFF (latching): press once to turn the switch circuit ON. It stays ON after you release the button; press again to turn it OFF.
- Momentary: press and hold to turn the switch circuit ON. Release the button and it returns to OFF.
Both options are Single Pole Single Throw (SPST). Choose the action required by the equipment you intend to control. Your custom graphic identifies the function; it does not change the switch’s electrical rating or establish compatibility with an accessory’s control system.

Wiring and installation
A fused relay is required in all installations. Do not power the accessory directly through this switch. Use the supplied wiring diagram and confirm compatibility with the accessory control circuit before connecting it.
The connector and wiring pigtail provide the switch-side connection; they are not a complete accessory wiring harness. A suitable CH4X4 marine-grade waterproof 12V 40A relay with 4-pin harness is available separately. Have a qualified installer check wiring, fuse protection and relay selection if needed.

Can I add my own text?
Yes. Type up to 16 characters and see it on the switch as you type. It wraps to two centered lines of up to 8 characters, and you can choose from a selection of bold fonts. This switch takes either text or an icon, not both. To match the standard lettering on our other switches, choose Myriad Pro Semibold.
Can I put an icon and text on the same switch?
No. The square face is small, so each switch carries either one icon or your text, which keeps it clean and easy to read once it is etched.
What color is my design engraved in?
The engraved icon or text has a white appearance on the matte black switch face. This is separate from the LED illumination color, which you choose as Amber, Blue or White.
Can I upload my own image or logo?
The design tool works with our icon library and typed text. If you need something that is not in the library, contact us before ordering.
What size is the switch?
The switch face measures 0.86 × 0.86 in (22 × 22 mm).
