Audio Power Symbol 2: design and use
Symbol 2 identifies an audio power-control circuit with a different illustration from the portable-player version. Its maintained action stays ON after you release the button. Have your installer match the relay arrangement to the stereo or amplifier’s power-enable requirements. This switch neither controls audio volume nor carries speaker outputs or amplifier power directly.

- Face measures 39 × 21 mm (approximately 1.54 × 0.83 inches); check the mounting opening separately.
- Single Pole Single Throw (SPST), maintained ON/OFF: press in for ON and press again for OFF.
- Electronic switch rated at 3A at 12V, with short circuit protection; an external fused relay is required.
- Heavy-duty ABS body with a hard matte black face and an OEM-style factory look.
- Audio Power Symbol 2 laser etched directly into the switch face.
- Two LEDs: one upper ON indicator and one lower panel light.
- Upper LED lights when the button is pressed IN.
- Lower LED can be connected to a separate dashboard illumination circuit.
Wiring and installation — fused relay required
A fused relay is required in ALL installations. Do not power the accessory directly through this 3A, 12V switch.
When installing this push switch for Toyota audio power symbol 2, follow the supplied wiring diagram together with the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Have your installer select relay capacity, cable size and fuse protection for the actual load. The connector and cable provide the switch-side connection, not a complete accessory power harness.
